Flexibility and Strength of Body and Mind

Class Descriptions     pricing

Vinyasa (Flow) - Yoga flows are invigorating. Postures are linked in a flow and provide aerobic components while also improving strength and coordination. While most RYAH Vinyasa classes are all levels, we suggest that you have some degree of strength and endurance. Modifications will be given to accommodate all students.

Kali Ray TriYoga® - is a complete hatha yoga method. TheTriYoga flows are dynamic as other styles of yoga, yet gentle on the body, deeply meditative and transformative. Classes are sequential, ensuring a safe progression from one level to the next. Students are encouraged to start with BASICS--a gentle, restorative practice that includes awareness, relaxing and rejuvenating postures. Pillows and props are used to ensure comfort. As desired and when ready, students progress to LEVEL 1, which builds on the knowledge and strength developed in Basics. For LEVEL 2 and higher levels students must have experience in the lower level. TriYoga classes create a deeply meditative state as emphaiss is upon moving with synchronized body and breath.

Kids Yoga - while having fun, children can build self-confidence and inner awareness, use movement to explore feelings and imagination, and develop a calm, contented mind while nurturing a strong, healthy body. In class, children will learn basic yoga poses, how to express feelings through the body, practice belly breathing, learn to relax and meditate, and play games using the yoga poses. Yoga for children can improve concentration and learning.

Pilates - is a system of movement and exercises that strengthen the muscles that support the spine, educates, repatters, realigns, and brings balance into the body. Pilates strengthens the core area, improves posture and spinal health.

Power - Be ready to sweat! This is a dynamic yoga style that includes specific sequences designed to build strength, stamina and flexibility. You will connect movement with breath and tone your body and mind in a heated studio with flowing poses. Don't forget to bring a towel. You will leave this class with a refreshed spirit.

Prenatal Yoga - prepares the body for the trinity of pregnancy, labor and delivery. The postures are gentle on the body and at the same time develop flexibility and strength. The practice helps to tone the pelvic region, open the hips, and strengthen the back, as well as improve respiration and aid relaxation for our mommies to be.

Yoga Class Guidelines

  • Please leave shoes outside the studios.
  • Come with an empty stomach - it is best to not eat for 2 hours before class.
  • Wear loose fitting comfortable clothes.
  • Refrain from wearing perfume or other scents.
  • Cell phones and pagers always should be in off or vibrate position once you enter RYAH.
  • The area outside of Studio A is a Quiet Zone. Please enter and exit with voices in a whisper.

Promote a Calm, Meditative Atmosphere

If possible, arrive a few minutes prior to class and sit or lie down quietly

During the practice, keep talk to a minimum.

Use your inner guidance to honor what is best for your body. Yoga is not a competition.

The closing deep relaxation is essential to fully absorb the benefits of the practice. If it necessary to leave early, please do so before deep relaxation. Take a few moments to close the practice with a relaxation of your own.

Class may close with a breathing practice called Omkara. Take a complete inhalation and on the exhalation chant Om - the universal sound. Feel free to join in or just listen.

Following one to three rounds of Om, your instructor may say Namaste, which means "I bow to the light within you," or Jaya Guru Devi, "Victory to health, knowledge and happiness."
